Birthday bath time!

It wouldn't be a birthday without a picture in her "birthday suit". Quinlan and Reilly share a bath and bath toys.
Then Reilly thought she would play "superhero" in her hooded bath towel. Luckily she didn't tinkle on the floor! :)
Happy Birthday bath baby!! Isn't she cute!! :)

Happy Birthday Reilly!!

Quinlan (and blue blankie) and Max (and Bun Bun) help Reilly celebrate her 1st birthday.Once she tasted it the cake was gone quickly. She even pushed the pieces without frosting aside to get to the ones with frosting. This was the face she made after I gave her a few bites of chocolate ice cream. Can't be my kid if she doesn't like ice cream! Isn't it one of the major food groups?
The cake ended up in her hair and ears but she liked it. She smelled like cake even after her bath (see previous posting) and her hair wash.
Aunt Colleen (Connor) sent an adorable Strawberry Shortcake card that first, Max read to Reilly and then, she read herself.

July 4th

It was a dreary, rainy day at "Poppy's Lake" - Keuka Lake - on July 4th but I managed to wrangle all 3 kids into one chair for this patriotic picture. Quinlan is especially fond of this. She refers to it as the "states of America" picture.

Reilly at 11 months

Here is Miss Reilly on the beach. The stylin' hat is at least 13 years old, it belonged to either Jacob or Seth (the Croft twins) and both Max and Quinlan wore it too.
She loved the ocean! She crawled right into the tide and tried to eat the sand, but only once!
She is cruising around the furniture and stands very well by herself. I don't think it will be long before she is walking. She doesn't like to sit still, she is my first "climber" and now she has decided that she is boycotting pureed food. She would rather eat diced fruits and no green veggies. Yuck.

Father's Day - 2007

We got home from the shore on Saturday and Father's Day was Sunday. It was pretty much just like any other Sunday except Max made a special card and signed his and Quinlan's name to it. Reilly gave her Dad a new frame for his "Daddy" wall and then they all went next door to go swimming. Happy Father's Day Daddy!

The Jersey Shore - Part 5

This is the Cape May, NJ Lighthouse. This particular structure was built in 1859 - the third to be built on this site. There are 199 metal steps in the cast iron spiral staircase - that is 199 steps UP and 199 steps DOWN!! The kids did pretty well. Behind them, in the picture below, you can see how high up we were.
It was a cold, windy, misty day but that didn't keep us from searching the beach at the lighthouse for Cape May "diamonds" (stones that are white in color and very smooth) and checking out the waterfowl. Reilly was in the backpack on the beach but Chris had to carry her up the stairs in his arms. Thankfully he didn't venture out onto the observation deck.

The Jersey Shore - Part 4

Here we all are in sun and surf......what a good looking group don't you think??
