A great day was had by all!

Max had track and field day at school today. He participated in all the activities like sack races, soccer ball kick and running races. He won 3rd place (note the ribbon on his t-shirt) in the water balloon toss with his partner, Spencer. After lunch the two first grade classes walked over to the park where we met them.
Quinlan got new sneakers - and she wanted everyone to see them!

Daddy & Reilly

Here she is - with her Daddy! Reilly is so good at giving hugs and Daddy gets a lot of them.

Reilly claps

Reilly learned a new trick on Thursday, May 10th. While enjoying Max's Spring concert at school she began to clap. I guess she was just doing what everyone else was doing...... but it sure is cute!

I especially like that she claps when I come in to get her out of bed!! I feel very appreciated when she does that. Of course, she claps a lot of other times too and some of them have nothing to do with anything (so maybe I shouldn't feel THAT appreciated).

She is 10 months old now. She is using a sippy cup for water - didn't really like the white grape juice I put in it yesterday. She is eating all the veggies and fruit in the Gerber line and we've tried chicken a couple of times. She really uses those teeth (she has 6 now) to chew her cheerios.

Mother's Day Tea @ St. Luke Pre-school

Here are Reilly, Quinlan and I at Quinlan's pre-school Mother's Day Tea. It was a lovely morning. First, the students sang songs to celebrate their Moms. Then we had "lunch" - little tea sandwiches, chips, fruit, veggies and punch. I came home with a card, a new placemat, a tile with Quinlan's handprint on it and a viola plant.

For Mother's Day Max made me a lovely card and a picture frame with his picture inside. It is very cute.

Quinlan's recital

Here is our little ballerina at her recital. She and her friends did a great job - they all danced. Mima & Poppy and Betsy drove down from Corning, as did Grandma & Grandpa Connor. We all had lunch together (with EvieLyn) and then attended the program. Quinlan's teachers had nice things to say about her and her dance ability. Hopefully she'll keep up with it.

Max's Birthday Party

Max had his "belated" birthday party on Saturday (5/5). He and 3 of his friends (plus Quinlan, Reilly, Grandma & Grandpa Connor, Lynnette, Mommy & Daddy) went to a pizza place with arcade games first, and then to the bowling alley. It was a fun day!! He had a "Cars" cake with a new Lightning McQueen, The King, Mater and Sally (note the blue guardrail - the directions suggested red, but Mommy liked blue better). He got some nice gifts too.

Quinlan sees a bear

Quinlan and her class from school went to the "Zoo". It is a sanctuary for abused and abandon animals like tigers, bears and monkeys. The kids all had a great time and afterwards they went to a park for lunch. Reilly and I met them there but didn't go to the park, Reilly was too tired out from all the fun.
