Canada Geese
First it was a pheasant and now geese. These 2 Canada geese decided to wander into our yard to see if there was anything exciting to eat. After Reilly and I marveled at their beauty, I ran out into the yard and scared them away. I was told that if birds get too comfortable in your yard they will come back year after year. That was one chance I was NOT going to take. I hate birds. Quinlan said "Hey Mom, you were on a goose-chase". Good one, Quinlan.

Snow fun
We got a lot of snow on Thursday night and Friday, with a lot of blowing and drifting. The kids actually had a snow day, first one since we moved here. Then on Friday it snowed almost all day. Today while Chris was using the snowblower on the driveway, the kids were having fun wallowing in it. Here they are sitting on a pile of it directly outside the front door (you didn't actually think I would go out in this stuff just to take a picture, did you?) over the sidewalk. The picture doesn't really show how much we have but there is a lot of it there.

The pheasant
Here is a pheasant that was wandering around out front eating the holly berrys off the bushes. I heard an odd noise one afternoon and looked out the window and there he was. Reilly kept tapping on the window and he'd stop eating and look around and resume eating. I haven't ever seen him before this day or since but Reilly and I thought he was neat.

Just a little cutie!
Reilly goes to school
Reilly started pre-school on Tuesday at Toddler's Workshop. She had a great day and can't wait to go back. Here she is playing at the shape table with all her new friends after she gave Chris and I each a hug and ran off without a backwards glance. Her friend (and our neighbor) Ryan Marquez is in the green shirt with the numbers on it.
Here she is with her teacher, Miss Kristin, and Braydon, another student.
I wandered around Webster at Old Navy and Target. I didn't want to get too far from her in case she needed me (which she didn't). It is a little sad sending my baby off to school already but she was a little bored at home with me. Quinlan has helped her learn her letters, shapes, numbers and colors already and was giving her "pre-school manners" advice the night before. I'm sure I'll grow used to the time alone quickly, but for now it is a little new and a little strange. But she loves it. We'll go back to FunNastics this Friday (which is not a school day) too.
